  @ Celestial, I'm assume you haven't been around the WTS for a very long time. The WTS for many many many years have pounded, grilled, and drilled into our brians how EVIL the UN (wild beast) is. The UN was worse then governtment, because they were trying to do what only God can do, which is bring about world peace.

  It is interesting from this vantage point (I was once there too) to see how many will defend the WTS no matter what. Even make excuses for them (even after the WTS admits) a certain principle is wrong.

  Many families have been torn apart for less. However, unless it has happened to you, there is no way you can understand or relate to the seriousness or empathize with the situation. This is blatant apostasy, yet they call us apostates? We're just calling it as it is! They're the ones who should be brought up on charges of apostasy.

  NOTE: Letter from WTS to other congregations......"Still, the Criteria for Association of NGOs-at least in their lastest version- contian laugauge we cannot attain to.

  Therefore, even the WTS addmits they cannot attain to the NGOs Criteria, (until busted by the masses) so your case is a mute one =Exhibit A

  Watctower 1979 that said that being a member of the YMCA would be interfaith. w79 1/1 p31 says, in part:

  " In joing the YMCA as a member a person accepts or endorses the general objectives and principles of the organization . He is not simply paying for something he receives , such as when buying things being sold to the public at a store. (Compare 1 Corinthians 8:10; 10:25). Nor is his membership merely an entry pass, as when a person buys a theatre ticket. Membership means that one has become an integral part of this organization founded with definite religious objectives, including the promotion of interfaith. Hence, for one of Jehovah's Witnesses to become a member of such a so-called "Christian" association would amount to apostasy."

  I guess so they can get more donations from the flock in other countries, steal/flip more KH from congregations, sell more literature, invest more in the stock market, buy more property with the flocks money.....

  The letter clearly does not say as of 2002. The inquirey letter was written in 2002 which was about the time the UN/WTS news came out.

  Question motives involved? It's Theocratic Principle.

  The WTS has many hard line stances on the flock, but when it comes to them? People have been DF'd for less. Maybe the WTS souldn't have blasted them for so many years and instilled in the flock how wicked the UN was.

  The DPI NGO I posted above clearly reads: The WTS applied for association with the DPI in 1991 and was granted association1992. By accepting association with DPL, the organization agreed to meet criteria for association including support and respect of the principles of the Charter of the United Nations

  Watchtower was associated with NGO and to become associated required the Watchtower to accept the following:

  • that the NGO share the ideals of the UN Charter;
  • have a demonstrated interest in United Nations issues and a proven ability to reach target or specialized audiences, such as educators, media representatives, policy makers and the business community;
  • have the commitment and means to conduct effective information programs about UN activities by publishing newsletters, bulletins and pamphlets, organizing conferences, seminars and round tables; and enlisting cooperation of the media.

  In 2001, the Awake of July 22 discusses the benefits of volunteering for the United Nations and their need for more volunteers.

  The Awake! 2000 December 8 devoted a number of pages to discussing the fine efforts of the United Nations. The Awake! 1998 November 22 also devoted several pages to discussion of the United Nations, including praising the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

  Applications received between 2 June 2011 and 1 June 2012 will be taken up in the year 2013. (which translates a year to be accepted)

  Hubby is doing research on D'fing to present to the CO

  he thinks the light needs to get brighter on this so we are going to put a report together to give to the co. it's really bothering him because his dad was d'ffed for over 15 years - he has schizophrenia and even a co said he didn't think he should have ever been d'ffed to begin with.

  he went to texas to save a woman from cockroaches - clearly this was because of his mental state.

  he got f'ffed for that because they said he cheated on his wife and even if he didn't he had no business putting himself in that position.

  It sounds like your husband has been doing some critical thinking!

  I heard as long as your husband doesn't share his info with anyone else in the congregation, show dissent, or say he's questioning if the WTS is gods org., he should be fine. Not sure going to the Co will make any difference (more for hubby's benefit) Changes are handed down from the the top of the Borg., I don't see one little CO having any influence in change.

  If anything, your husband may begin seeing what a sham the WTS really is. Oh and I'm sure the CO will have him marked/watched by the elders now, to see if he'll start promoting future problems in your KH.

  i'm rather down today, feeling like my relationship with husband is sad, we don't have anything in common anymore.

  i'm feeling outmoded, old and lonely.

  just verbalizing what i can't say to anyone else.. .

  Sorry to hear you're down...I'm sending ya a love bomb.... There's nothing worse then being in a relationship with someone and still feel alone.

  Spring cleaning? I say go out and get a real make over, hair, make up, clothes! Even if you're on a buget it can be done. Change things up by doing nice things for yourself. Join a gym or join an easy excersise class, or take classes. Make friends with the women in the classes. And if your hubby isn't a sexual prude....change things up there too....he's a man, ....(very simple)......eat, sex, eye candy.....go for it... Don't get too flirty unless he likes it, or he'll think you've been dancing with the devil

  Well, Ok, and spring cleaning. I know that always helps out too.

  There's not too much you can do about the other stuff, except wait for the WTS to do another new light and maybe he'll see the light.....
